In November 2007 the first little spark of a mighty blazing fire was ignited. Samy (Git.), Eric (Drums), Daniel (Bass), Robert (Git.) and Adrian (Vox) founded PERIPETEA. The name derives from the old Greek word περιπετεια (peripeteia), meaning a sudden change or the changing point of a story. And hell of a story these 5 guys are telling in their songs. It's a sci-fi/fantasy tale about the world of KRAD. The first EP "THE RISE OF THE PHOENIX" begins the plot around 4 demigods on their way to take revenge. Based on fresh drumming, the guitars and bass lines vary in almost any way possible. Thrashing riffs, melodies that trigger always the right emotions, little clean parts to give you a moment to rest and not to forget the partially interspersed progressive parts. And just to top all that, the listener is confronted with an equally diverse voice, which incorporates everything from deep growls to high pitched, spitting screams and clean singing from time to time. Now, in 2009, with the release of the PHOENIX EP, the band is ready to fan the flames of their melodic death metal extravaganza!
